Wilmington Grand Prix May 16-17

Wilmington, DE brings the national Wilmington Grand Prix to the streets May 16-17. The course is designed to showcase revitalization efforts occurring throughout the Market Street area and to celebrate the Downtown District. Wilmington is a rather phenomenal city for bicyclists, with beautiful architecture and bike trails everywhere.

The Grand Prix will also feature a downtown festival with sidewalk dining specials by local restaurants, sidewalk sales by retailers, BMX stunt riders, free bicycle tune-ups and repairs, and musical street performers. (A highlight of the day’s activities is the Chase family bike parade which will attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records. Last year’s parade drew 459 participants.)

See http://www.wilmgrandprix.com/ the sponsor's site for the May 16-17 Wilmington Grand Prix schedule and events information.
